THE CHALLENGE
Bloomberg Government launched innovative AI-powered tools, including Search Adviser and Bill Comparison, designed to streamline legislative research and policy analysis for government professionals. With the product already in market and an established campaign running, I was tasked with expanding the creative asset library for both Bloomberg Government to maintain campaign momentum and reach across multiple paid social media channels. The challenge was to quickly assimilate into an active campaign, match established creative standards, and create fresh assets that would resonate with a sophisticated audience of government affairs professionals, lobbyists, and policy researchers.
THE CONCEPT
Messaging Strategy: Before/After Narrative
The campaign's core creative device was a "before and after" approach that literally crossed out tedious manual tasks and revealed the streamlined AI solution. This visual treatment created immediate clarity about the value proposition:
• "Tedious complex searches" → "Ask questions in plain English"
• "Hours spent comparing state bills" → "Similarities revealed in seconds"
• "That's workflow innovation"
This messaging pattern worked because it acknowledged the audience's pain points while demonstrating the transformative impact of the technology.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I created multi-slide carousel ad variations and landing page copy that followed the established campaign aesthetic while introducing new entry points and benefit messaging. Each carousel was designed to build engagement through progressive storytelling, moving from problem identification to solution revelation.
Landing Page Support
The campaign drove traffic to a custom landing page with the headline "Innovation is an art, welcome to its studio." This positioning elevated the technology from mere tools to creative enablers for government professionals. The landing page featured detailed product demonstrations, integrated demo request forms, and three key differentiators: "Designed together," "Integrated and transparent," and "So simple."
